I ski for my high school, stillwater. We're one of the best teams in Minnesota (and since MN is a hotspot for the technical races, probably one of the better teams in the nation). Our girls have gone to state for 17 years in a row. That's huge The boys are just as good or better, but the competition for the guys is stiffer. But we still go to state regularly - next year we hope to win. We woulda placed second this year but our top skier fell. And the first place team was all seniors.

But you have to tell me more about practicing on dry slopes... Im really interested in that.

Oh, I didn´t finish so.. you don´t know any slovakian words? I have to learn you something but... what? okay...for the beginning, just one word skiing = lyžovanie so, that´s all byee!

Oh, it´s a pity you don´t know her a lot of people interested in skiing says that she´s the one of most beautiful skiers (yeah, i think that skiers are not very pretty xD) but i think that Julia or Lindsey are nicer so if you´re going to watch the races this upcoming season, don´t forget to watch womens slalom... i think she´s goin to be there...

I haven´t been at glacier very much times, but you´re right, it´s expensive. Well, it´s not very far from Slovakia (I mean Austrian glacier), but, you know...

But here they're only on once every four years for the Olympics. That's it. It sucks.
My slovakian vocabulary is limited to zero words. I'd say you're better

We don't really have summer training. Some of us go to a camp at Mt. Hood and ski on a glacier... but it's pretty expensive. And we do fitness and stuff by ourself. But I've used those skates/gates on the road. It's fun

Maybe you could know Veronika Zuzulová from Slovakia. She´s good at slalom, she was the third in overall rating in slalom, i think.
The races of world cup are in slovakian TVs only sometimes. I use to watch races on Eurosport TV.
We speak slovakian, it´s a language very similair to czech. I don´t know how good you´re at slovakian, so i can´t say if you´re better in slovakian than me in english
Just one question o what about your summer trainings? I really love them, because we do slalom at skates on the road. It´s something i really try to be good at because it´s very funny. Have a nice day

Skiing is an art... one that takes a lot of time and practice to get right. Gawd I've always wanted to meet one of them... I saw the US Womens Team out at Mt. Hood once. And I know the coach of Phil Mahre. But that's as close as I've ever come to meeting one of them. God knows I want to.

Who's the skier from Slovakia? And at least you're from Europe... skiing's big over there. Here, skiing is a cult. It never gets air time on TV. Except during the Olympics, and that was only cause of Bode.

And don't worry - I would have never guessed you weren't an english speaker. And you can speak english better then I can speak slovakian (?) or what ever language you guys speak ><

really 5th? that mine too! and i accept that skiing is a passion... my daddy always says that skiing is a kind of art.. and i think he´s right. i have one question. maybe it´s a little stupid question, but...have you ever met one of those great american skiers as lindsey vonn, julia mancuso, bode miller or others famous? there is only one a little famous (just a little) skier in slovakia now, so i didn´t have any chance to meet somebody... and, sorry for ma poor english and also a long comment byee!

this upcoming season will be my 5th year racing. it's helped me sooo much. it's really given me a lot of self-confidence and when i ski i'm actually myself. and it's given me something to strive for...

i guess you could say it's a passion, not just a sport. i know i'll be on skis the rest of my life. and i'll probably wind up racing/coaching as much as i can
